Pray for Peace in Kenya
Posted on Jan 31, 2008
Dear All,
As I am sure most of you know, the public news from Kenya sounds terrible. I will admit to being very concerned for our friends and loved ones in central Kenya. Today I talked with Susan (Kaburu), and she says that Ndathi continues to be relatively unaffected. People are getting to the clinic (had a delivery this AM), children are attending school and the microlending groups are meeting on their regular schedule. Susan and Anne plan to go to Nyeri for supplies, etc. Susan asked us to pray for peace and that the government leaders would make the right decisions. She said that the people are used to the tribes being together as neighbors and are praying to know how to live with and love each other. She is grateful for our friendship over the years and looks forward to the time that this trouble will be over and we can visit her community again.
Please keep praying.
Love,
Poppy
